One of the very hot topics at the moment is the new Google API Open Social for Social Network Applications. It seems that every major social network apart from Facebook is taking part. Google’s Patrick Chanezon is talking about it tomorrow afternoon, so I will try to make it to the session to post about it!

Web2Open at Web 2.0 Expo
If you are in Berlin at the moment, you could still take part in the Web 2.0 Expo without having a full conference pass. Just check the conference page for the free Web2Open pass which gives you access to some keynotes and to the Open Event.
Web2Open consists of three major elements on Tuesday through Thursday:
- Open Grid Sessions: Delegates propose a topic for a talk they would like to give, and they show up and deliver the talk at their selected time. Open Sessions can be scheduled onsite.
- Pre-Scheduled Open Speaker Sessions: Topics pre-scheduled in advance and given by delegates.
- BoFs (Birds of a Feather sessions): Informal discussion groups on a particular topic, suggested and run by delegates. These differ from Open Sessions in that there is no formal presentation, only a discussion among those who show up. BoFs may be scheduled in advance or onsite.
Web 2.0 Expo Berlin
This week, in Berlin, the Web 2.0 Expo is taking place. I am attending it and currently already on location, so I will use the opportunity to blog directly from the conference. This is slightly off-topic, if you read this blog for production music for media production, but definately on-topic if you are interested in the newest developments in online.
Just check out the conference web page!
