The Sami, also known as Lapps, are the indegenous people of Northern Scandinavia. Hailing from northern parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia (the Kola Peninsula), their lives and appearance have a lot in common with Native Americans. Their music is dominated by the unique and easily recognizable Joik (or Yoik) which again lends similarities to the chanting vocal styles of Native American music. It is often accompanied by a simple hand drum beat.

Sami Joik (Instrumental version)
1902. Natural Impulse 02:56

A tasteful and delightful light electronica track. Downtempo electronic beats, softtly swirling pads and a gentle piano melody. Breezy, swaying, dreamy and ethereal. Highly suitable for use with classy, tasteful and delicate media presentations, soft visuals, flowing movements, etc.

Natural Impulse
1906. Always There 02:34

An uplifting, spirited and positively upbeat track somewhere between Pop and Electronica. Melodic, good natured, joyful, fresh and friendly. Great for use in commercials, presentations, sports, family fun, or any positive, uplifting media project.

Always There
1913. Get Up & Go 02:28

A slick, stylish, sizzling and energizing backbone groove with a strong sense of movement and forward drive. The clean cut and streamlined sound make it highly suitable for corporate use as well as for sport, movement and subtle, underlying excitement. The version called 'workout version' has no breaks, stops or gaps in the beat.

Get Up & Go

A soulful R&B, downtempo funk track. Delicate, stylish and warm. It's subtle and restrained, but it has a certain streetwise, urban vibe and attitude. Good for relaxation, holiday, vacation in exotic places, chilling on the beach or in the city. A super smooth chillout groove.

Purity (Underscore Version)
1925. The Tunnel 01:50

A dark and pounding, percussion-driven track. Pensive and nervous, good for horror, thriller, reality-TV, filmscore, movie. Drama and dangerous situation, extreme risk, being chased by evil or other extreme, terror state. Deep orchestral and ethnic percussion with breath-like underlying textures. Stressful and claustrophobic.
