Minimal Techno
Minimal Techno music is a subgenre of Techno. It is characterized by a stripped-down aesthetic of the “acknowledged preservation of basics.” Minimal Techno has its roots probably in the early ‘90s, in the Techno scene of the American city of Detroit. A particularly fast variation of Minimal Techno is Gabber. Because the Minimal Techno music stands out through rough sounds (drums, bass lines and funky grooves), this facet of Gabber’s is lost. In the end, what is significant for Minimal Techno is that only the musical basics remain, which is important in order to make people move to the rhythm of music. More information on Minimal Techno:
