The Epic Series is a series of 26 individual music tracks. Semi-orchestral, semi-electronic soundtrack work inspired by Babylon 5, etc. Brooding, pompous, epic, military style. Some of these are grouped together -- i.e. Epic 1 calm, Epic 1 Suspense and Epic 1 Battle use the same instrumentation and underlying tempo, making them work well together. Of course, they work well individually too.
Appalachian / bluegrass style track, featuring acoustic guitar, mandolin and dobro.
Military / Science fiction soundtrack style. A slow, pensive and mysterious opening gives way after a couple of minutes to a pompous, staccato horn stabs and marching snares and all-out battle with horn stabs and fast congas. Sci-fi and battle/chase scenes. Ominous, dramatic, conflict.
Staccato strings and synth pulse arpeggio. Military or science fiction cinematic sountrack style. Spluttering synthesizers, orchestral horn stabs, timpani, congas and snares. First half sneaky and building, dissonant, arm-up. Second half all-out battle, chase, action.
Commences with a beautiful, fragile Erhu note triggering a deep, pensive grand piano...classical orchestra fading in and out accompanying the Erhu in a kind of call-and-response as the Erhu blithely proceeds within its own thoughts along a journey in a clear quest for answers that remain elusive to the end.
A very tender Pensive track. Indian/arabic elements a wondrous, curious mood with a lot of age and soul.
An upbeat comical semi - sad composition. Think of walking on a cold Christmas day or evening, enviously watching others on the street rejoice at the festivities and you have nowhere to go and no one to love with hunger reminding you of the fact that you're a penniless weirdo.
A dark dramatic cello cries over an ever evolving lonely drone escape pad with bells and contemporary filmic sound design. A pitiful vibe of reflection expectation and uncertainty is in the air. "What are we going to do now ?". Loss and sadness.
A very tender pensive track. Indian/Arabic elements with a wondrous, curious mood. A lot of soul mixed with a contemporary groove and Fender Rhodes. Very relaxing and ambient.
A tense dramatic film track with a sad solo violin that sets up a desperate struggling mood intensified by a honest tragic and heart wrenching vocal performance.
A dark disturbing track with a scratched, disturbed, demented tortured violin playing on to of by evolving pads and soundscapes. Unique pitched elements and contemporary scary sound design that all ends in a big glassy hit.
