An animation depicts the process of creating a continuous movement and/or modification. Through the fast display of still frames that differ slightly from one another, it creates the illusion that it is all a matter of movement. Animations can be filmed either with analog media (flip books, films, videos) or with digital media (animated GIF, Flash animation, digital video). The pictures are displayed in fast sequence between 24 and 60 frames per second.
