A beautiful, traditional Indian love song arranged with a mixture of Indian ethnic instruments and more modern/western elements. Sung by the highly renowned Indian thumri singer Vidya Rao who has been kind enough to work with us on this track. Thumri is a form of Indian singing which originated in the temples where the courtesans of the temples used to sing about lost love. The lyrics in this song can be summarized as a woman singing to a dear friend or lover in a far-away land, singing for him to return to where he belongs. Arranged with tabla, Indian strings and soft pads. There is also an alternative version without the vocals, and yet another version with only the vocals and soft pads, in a more "ambient" setting. Haunting and beautiful.
Melodic Indian piece featuring table and sitar. Drums, bass and Indian style strings come in after about 30 seconds to lift the piece and bring it home. Appealing Indian music track.
A smooth blend of the traditional and the modern, of the East and the West. Great for use in travel and adventure, chill-out and exotic moods.
An exotic, haunting Indian vocal track sung for us by highly renowned Indian female singer Vidya Rao, whom we feel privileged to have worked with on this track. Her sorrowful singing/chanting in the alaap is as atmospheric as it is emotional, and is accompanied by a clean jazz guitar, joined by jazzy drums and bass at around 1 min 45 secs. Alaap literally means introduction and it is traditionally used by an Indian singer who goes through many permutations in the notes of a raag finally resting on the tonic and then nods at the tabla player to set the rhythm. A smooth blend of the traditional and the modern, of the East and the West. Great for use in travel and adventure, chill-out and exotic moods.
Upbeat, smooth pop rock-jazz track that oozes a cool retro 70’s vibe with contrasting sections that dynamically transition from sparse to full instrumentation. Great for seventies flashback dramas, heist movies, crime capers, cop/detective shows and more.
fun n Funky and a 70's twist this groove fusion track has tons of funky guitars, scratching and a broad appeal for all manor of projects. With wah guitars, strings and even Koto, this track has lots of possibilities.
Haunting and beautiful.
