Techno 1/4

Techno is a musical genre that originated in Detroit, Michigan in the 1980s
According to Wikipedia, techno "is a genre of electronic dance music that emerged in Detroit, Michigan in the United States during the mid-to-late 1980s. The first recorded use of the word techno, in reference to a genre of music, was in 1988. Many styles of techno now exist, but Detroit techno is seen as the foundation upon which a number of subgenres have been built."

The evolution of techno can be traced back to the 1980s in Detroit, where it emerged as a product of the city's black, Latino, and underground music scenes. In the 1980s and early 1990s, techno was popular in Detroit and other parts of the United States, as well as in Europe, particularly in Germany. In the mid-1990s, the techno scene in Frankfurt, Germany became particularly influential, with the city becoming known as the "techno capital of Europe."

Typical instrumentation for techno includes electronic instruments such as synthesizers, drum machines, and samplers. Techno has also evolved over the years, with various subgenres and subcultures developing within the genresuch as minimal techno, techno trance, and acid techno.

Techno is known for its futuristic and electronic sound, and it is often associated with emotions such as excitement and intensity. Many techno songs have complex rhythms and melodies that are designed to get people moving and dancing.
