More lively than the Theme from the first movement of Mozart's Piano Sonata No.11, this is the second variation which is sprightly and much more intricate.
Quick, joyous and celebratory, this Rondo from Piano Sonata No.11 is one of Mozart's best known piano pieces and has been used in many film, TV and media productions requiring a fast paced and up-tempo soundtrack.
Playful melodies begin this intensely moving work. Schumann keeps the emotions ebbing and flowing as the dynamics rise and fall in this deeply accomplished composition which was written when he was just 29 years old.
The Entertainer, erschienen 1902, ist ein Rag für Klavier. Durch die Verwendung als Filmmusik in der Hollywood-Produktion "Der Clou" aus dem Jahre 1973 erlangte er Weltruhm.
Bold and distinctive piano melodies and chords ring out with regal and noble fashion. This is the first promenade in the suite, 'Pictures at an Exhibition', which depicts a tour around an art gallery or collection.
The second on Debussy's Arabesques is faster, brighter and more lively. Although the two works are usually put in the '20th Century' classical music period, they are now being increasingly seen as a separate impressionistic style popular with European composers.
A fast, dramatic and energetic end to the famous Moonlight Sonata. The third movement moves along at a great pace, (presto agitato - which means fast, in a hurry and agitated). The pianist gives a fantastic rendition of this high tempo work. The Piano Sonata No. 14 op. 27 no. 2 in C sharp minor by Ludwig van Beethoven, completed in 1801, is also known as the Moonlight Sonata. Beethoven himself gave his work the nickname Sonata quasi una Fantasia ("... quasi a fantasy"). The term "Fantasia" refers to the unusual sequence of movements of the sonata. This explains the untypical tempos of the respective movements for the conventional sonata form. The work does not have a first (fast) movement in sonata form, which sonatas of this period usually contain. It begins with an Adagio, followed by a more lively Allegretto with Trio, followed by a fast, highly dramatic Finale, which has the structure of a sonata-form. What is striking here is that the tempo increases from movement to movement. Franz Liszt characterized the piece by describing the second movement as "a flower between two abysses".
Slightly faster and more playful than the introduction to the first movement, this is the first variation of the Theme from the Mozart Piano Sonata No.11.
Sehr starker Song mit hohem Branding-Wert! Eleganz, Ausdruck und Kraft sind die Inbegriffe dieses Tracks!!
flottes Piano-Intermezzo über einen Gefühlszustand
A solo guitar piece with hugely Hispanic and Latin overtones. This habanera, (or dance of Havana), has a wonderful swaying theme which transports you to exotic places and bars. Great for travel sequences.
Fast, battle, sweeps and pulses, electronic, deep percussion.
